Effective August 16, 2026
The short version
Usage has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no telemetry. We do not operate a server that receives your provider credentials, usage data, prompts, or activity.
Information Usage accesses
When you connect a provider, Usage uses credentials that provider’s own software already stored on your Mac. Those credentials are used only to request usage or quota information directly from that provider. Usage does not copy or transmit them elsewhere.
Information stored locally
Usage writes a local state.json file recording which providers you chose to connect and app preferences such as opening at login. This file stays on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the app and deleting its application support data.
Third-party services
Requests to Claude, ChatGPT, Antigravity, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and future providers are governed by each provider’s own privacy policy. Usage communicates with a provider only after you connect it.
Website
This website does not require an account and does not intentionally set tracking cookies. Basic infrastructure logs may be processed by the hosting provider for security and reliable delivery.
Changes
If the app’s data practices materially change, this policy and the open-source code will be updated before the change ships.
